Effects and Mechanisms of Microbial Agents and Carbon Sources on Aquaculture Environment

Improving aquaculture environment through microbial manipulation has been a hot topic in research recent ten years. The effectiveness of microbiological agents improving water quality, especially the degradation inorganic nitrogen, remains controversial. One reasons is lack understanding pathway which affect environment. effects carbon sources and two on ammonia nitrogen conversion cultured were studied by in-situ experiments. results showed that organic increased significantly sterilized non-sterilized groups. trend was same. nitrite did not decrease, nitrate decreased significantly. indicated there no significant change function unextinguished effect nitrifying bactericide after sterilization. adding might be due to role source itself.
